Little Walsingham
There have been pilgrimages to Our Lady of Walsingham for hundreds of years, the consequence of a vision of the Virgin Mary by the widow of a Norman knight, Richeldis de Favarches in 1061.
This is a large and active village, particularly over religious festivals. Little Walsingham’s high street is largely medieval, with red-brick and timber framed houses, whitewashed fronts and pantiled roofs. |

Walsingham Farms Shop is in the heart of historic Walsingham, promoting and supporting Norfolk farmers and their produce.
Our shop is in a lovely old flint barn where we offer locally sourced meat expertly prepared by our in house butcher. Here we make our own sausages, cure our own bacon and bake our own pies. You can see dishes being prepared in our kitchen, and at the deli counter, buy our delicious fresh soups, quiches, patés and cakes.
We stock the best Norfolk cheeses, local fresh fruit and veg according to the season, fresh fish, plus eggs, bread and milk. We have an amazing array of jams, chutneys and mustards, plus a wide choice of Norfolk fruit juices, cider and beers brewed only a mile or two from the shop. We buy some wine direct from the producer, and we also have a good selection supplied to us by Satchells, of Burnham Market.
Shop opening hours Monday to Saturday 9am-6pm, Sunday 9am-1pm.

The Norfolk Riddle Restaurant and Fish & Chip Shop, is also part of the Walsingham Farms Shop Partnership, serving delicious farmhouse fare freshly cooked from local produce. As at the Farms Shop, we showcase the excellent food and drink produced on our doorstep. Wood burner in the dining room, or soak up the sunshine on the terrace.
The Norfolk Riddle restaurant is open for lunch Wednesday-Saturday from 12am-2pm, Sunday 12-3.30pm and in the evenings Tuesday-Sunday 6-9pm.
The takeaway counter is open Wednesday-Sunday 11.30am-2.30pm and Tuesday-Sunday 4.30pm-9.30pm
