Blakeney
Blakeney is located on the North Norfolk Coast, just North of the small market town of Holt. This part of the coastline has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ANOB and the marshes and wide open spaces around Blakeney make it a haven for migratory birds and wildlife. Blakeney used to be a small port, but is now a quiet village and provides an ideal location for a family holiday. There are two hotels, a number of holiday cottages to rent, and several B&Bs. The village has a strong identity, and is a thriving and active community. There is a small supermarket, butchers, fishmongers, and chandlers, pubs and a post office as well a range of shops for holidaymakers – please follow the links to access local information. Blakeney is popular with dinghy sailors, bird watchers and walkers, and you can get a real feel for the area by taking a trip to Blakeney Point to see the seals.

Tucked away in a quiet loke, just off the quayside, this carefully renovated barn has many original features, beautiful views, a wood burning stove, garden and parking, making Quayside Barn the perfect place to stay in Blakeney whatever the season.

The large living room features exposed beams, terracotta flooring, wood burning stove and is furnished with two comfy sofas, antique Chinese furniture, LCD TV & DVD, and Bose iPod speakers.

The fully equipped kitchen has gas twin oven range, fridge-freezer, microwave, washer-dryer, Nexpresso coffee machine, Belfast sink and French doors to the garden. The separate dining room, once part of the boat house, has a first floor balcony and a wealth of character. Gas central heating.

The main two bedrooms have king sized beds or one can be made up as a twin room. The beds are very comfortable with high quality sprung mattresses, fine cotton bedlinen and we provide large, soft towels. The third, single bedroom is off the living room and has views across the marshes. The two bathrooms are luxuriously equipped and include Molton Brown toiletries. The master bathroom has a fully tiled, generous walk in shower and extra large bath for a relaxing soak after a long walk!

Outside there is a designated parking space and small garden with table, chairs and BBQ. New for summer 2011 there is a first floor roof terrace off the master bedroom, with stunning views across the quay and marshes.

Unfortunately, due to the bedroom configuration the property is not suitable for children under twelve, but we do accept a well-behaved pet, by prior arrangement.

From our guest book:-
Never Been the jealous type, but then I encountered this wonderful house, in such a fantastic location. Agree with the earlier comments 'A boutique hotel without the other guests' - wonderful! Beaumont family, Sep '09

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay...This really is a home from home - very charming, cosy, luxurious and spacious! Michaela, Lewis & Zak, Oct '07

Thank you for a great break at Quayside Barn - with the garden, parking and fire, it is a real winner! The weather was fairly yucky, but that gave us the excuse to stay in & chill out! Naill & Peter, Mar '08

We had a super week in Quayside, especially as the weather was so good. As before the cottage was everything we wanted and we hope to see you again next year - it almost feels like our own!! Karen, Steve and Tess, Sep '08

Our best week in Blakeney so far, thanks to the heat wave! And did I mention, the stunning new bathrooms at quayside and all the finishing touches which made this a fabulous holiday! Till the next time... Karen, Steve and Tess, July '09

The cottage was most comfortable and it was just the rest we needed after a very busy year.... we have never stayed quite so close to the quay before. We enjoyed sitting in the garden with its view of the marshes and appreciated the fact that we were tucked away in a quiet spot when it was busy. The Bonnin family, July '08

We were very impressed with Quayside Barn. It is a lovely warm and comfortable place to see in the New Year. Terry & Christine, Jan '08
