Whether you are looking for a single night, a weekend, a short break, or a longer stay (typically for our business clients), I firmly believe you will find our accommodation second to none.
New from 2006, there are two purpose-built rooms on the ground floor overlooking the pretty back garden, especially suited for disabled guests.
BREAKFAST - A traditional full English breakfast is cooked to your preference from our breakfast menu, using fresh home grown and local organic produce and served at individual tables. Vegetarians will be pleased to find they will be well catered for.
Or if you would prefer, at a lower rate we can offer continental breakfast of orange juice, cereal and toast which you can prepare yourself in your room, which is ideal for early risers. Each room has a toaster, fridge and kettle. Please ask in advance and we will be happy to tailor our menu to your individual requirements.
EVENING MEAL - We can also provide a varied three course evening menu on arrival to suit most tastes. Should you require a meal on the evening of your arrival please inform us in advance and we will be happy to arrange a menu of your choice. A vegetarian option is also available.
PACKED LUNCHES - Packed lunches are available for a small price.
ACCOMMODATION
We have a choice of three rooms available, all of which are on the ground floor with private entrance to our lovely secluded back garden. Two rooms are disabled friendly, having wheelchair access and wet rooms. In all rooms, we provide tea and coffee making facilities, a television, radio-alarm clock, mini-fridge, hairdryer, toaster and kettle. We operate a strict NO SMOKING policy in the rooms, though guests are welcome to smoke in the grounds.
The Garden Family Room has a king-sized four poster bed and a single futon which converts to a single bed. We can also provide a good quality travel cot for the youngest of our guests. Featuring a spacious en-suite shower room, television with Freeview, mini-fridge and toaster. We also have a portable ramp to facilitate wheelchair access, and full English breakfast may be taken in the room if it is considered more convenient.
The Garden Double Room is a spacious, wheel-chair friendly room and the Garden Super-King/Twin Room also has a wet room
WIRELESS BROADBAND INTERNET
Of particular interest to all the business people out there will be our newly upgraded 2 Mbps wireless broadband (using the 802.11G standard which is backwardly compatible with slower 802.11b devices). This facility is available free of charge to guests with their own wireless enabled laptop/PDA.
GARDEN
All the guest rooms look onto our lovely, secluded garden in which you are welcome to sit down, relax and enjoy the surroundings.
OTHER INFORMATION
We offer drying facilities for bikers, cyclists and walkers free of charge.
RATES - Prices are from £25 per person per night, including continental breakfast (served 7:00 – 9:30am). Please contact for details. For children under 14, please ask.

Arrivals from 4pm onwards unless earlier time specifically requested with complimentary tea/coffee at registration. Departures by 11am on last day of stay. Arrivals and departures outside these times will incur a surcharge.
Well-behaved pets are welcome for a small fee of £2 per night, although for their sake we politely request that you do not leave your pet(s) unattended in the room during your stay.
HOW TO BOOK - We are very popular especially during peak periods, and so advanced booking is advisable. A non-refundable deposit of £10 per person will be required to confirm all advance bookings, with cheques made payable to Y.Mitchell. Late bookings will, of course, be taken on trust. If you do have to cancel your booking for any reason, and we realise that sometimes it is unavoidable, please give us as much notice as possible. If you e-mail us a booking enquiry, be advised that we usually do most of our on-line business mid to late evening, so please don't think you are being ignored if we don't get back to you straight away. We aim to respond to emails within two days of your enquiry. For a speedier response, please telephone.
HOW TO FIND US - Find us on the A149 North Walsham to Cromer Road, opposite the turning for Aylsham and Felmingham. We are situated on the eastern side of North Walsham town.
PARKING - There is ample off-road private parking for up to five vehicles and if you arrive on a motorbike or bicycle you can secure it in the garage. Whilst we are but a short walk from the town centre we will happily book a taxi if you would rather leave the car behind, and there are no late-night time restrictions as guests have their own keys for the duration of their stay.
LOCAL INFORMATION
North Walsham is a delightful market town situated in the heart of North Norfolk. We are only a short drive to Wroxham, the centre of The Broads. The historic city of Norwich with its famous cathedral and castle and excellent shopping isn’t far. For ramblers, Weavers’ Way is five minutes from our doorstep. Visit our nearby grand National Trust properties, including the Queen’s holiday residence, Sandringham. Take a trip to see the seals at Blakeney point. Our nearest beach is at Trimingham |
