WEYBOURNE FOREST LODGES
Is a small family-owned development of holiday homes hidden away in a private forest in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the North Norfolk Coast. The forest adjoins National Trust land and is perfect for walkers, bird watchers, horse riders and nature lovers. We are situated halfway between Holt and Sheringham each 3 miles and Weybourne Beach and cliffs are 1.5 miles. The North Norfolk Steam Railway Poppy Line runs through the fields below the forest to Weybourne Station.
The lodges mainly consist of Scandinavian style A-frames, some of which have now been sold to private owners. We also have The Sheepfold which is a single storey timber lodge with a wheelchair ramp at the rear, Chestnut Lodge, a roomy timber-clad park home, and Acorns our smallest single storey timber lodge. We have a small menagerie which is popular with both children and adults.
SQUIRREL LODGES. Sleeps 6 + cot These are A-frames, built to a high standard and fully equipped. They are extremely well insulated, with double glazing which makes them warm and comfortable in cold weather. Heating is by modern storage heaters on the ground floor and convectors on the first floor. Each lodge has a front balcony with a gate. Two of the lodges have wheelchair ramps and wide doorways, this requirement should be specified at the time of booking.
Accommodation - each lodge has three bedrooms, 1 down -stairs with double bed and en suite shower with w.c., and 2 upstairs, each with 2 single beds.

BADGER LODGE. Sleeps 4 An extra special lodge, built with honeymooners in mind, set slightly apart from the other lodges and backing onto the forest. There are 2 bedrooms, one on the ground floor and one upstairs, providing 2 separate suites. Upstairs the bedroom has its own balcony, adjoining dressing area and bathroom with spa bath, w.c. and handbasin. There is a large shower room on the ground floor with w.c and hand basin. Sitting dining area with TV, video, DVD player and radio CD player. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave etc. The heating is by storage heaters downstairs and convectors upstairs. Heated towel rails in shower and bathrooms. Wheelchair ramp to the back door.
THE SHEEPFOLD. Sleeps 4 + cot
This is a comfortable single storey timber lodge with two bedrooms, 1 with double bed and 1 with 2 singles. Large living dining area, with TV, Video and radio CD player. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave etc. Bathroom with shower over bath, w.c. and wash basin. Heated by storage heaters. This lodge is suitable for partially disabled people as it has a rear ramp for wheelchair access.
CHESTNUT LODGE, Sleeps 4 + 1 Child A comfortable double glazed Park Home with full gas central heating. 3 bedrooms, 1 with double bed, 1 with 2 single 2 6 beds and 1 small room suitable for a child. Living room with T.V and video. Kitchen with cooker, dishwasher and microwave. Bathroom with bath and w.c. Suitable for 4 people + 1 child.
ACORNS. Sleeps 2 + Cot
A cosy single storey pine chalet with 1 bedroom with King size bed can be made into 2 x 2'6 beds living room will T.V and video, kitchenette with cooker, microwave and fridge. Bathroom W.C. with shower over bath. Full gas central heating. Suitable for 2 people + 1 child.
EQUIPMENT
Bed linen and duvets are provided in all lodges but not towels or tea-towels Colour T.V reception variable and DVDVCR. A small selection of DVD's & videos is available for rent. Cots and high chairs are available but please bring your own cot linen and blankets.
ELECTRICITY
Storage heating and overnight heating of hot water is included but day time electricity is charged for by meter readings, no coins in the slot. Chestnut Lodge and Acorns - gas and electricity are included in the price.
TELEPHONE
All lodges have telephones for outgoing calls only charged by meter reading. Intercom connected to owners' house and other lodges.
LAUNDRY
Washing machine and tumble dryer available on site, operated by tokens which can be purchased on request.
Well-behaved Dogs are Welcome - maximum two per lodge at extra charge.
PINEWOOD LEISURE CENTRE
Visitors staying in our Lodges, may have the use of this excellent nearby health centre for a small charge.
The facilities include a 25 metre indoor heated swimming pool, children's pool, gym, spa bath, steam room and sauna. Solarium and Bowls also available at extra charge. |
