Burnham Market
Burnham Market situated close to the North Norfolk coast and is the largest of the seven Burnham villages. Burnham Market has at its centre a large village green surrounded by some fine houses shops and other buildings.
Burnham Market is a thriving village and supports several shops, pubs, galleries, antique shops and restaurants, and retains many village services including a bank, health centre and doctors surgery, dentist and post office.
It is a popular village with holidaymakers and visitors to North Norfolk, and you can happily spend an afternoon browsing the local shops.
Fromm the end of November the village is beautifully lit with Christmas lights

Coachman’s Cottage is a Grade 2 listed holiday cottage that blends with the other elegant Georgian houses surrounding the green in Burnham Market – universally recognised as Norfolk’s loveliest village. Having recently been refurbished it has retained its irresistible charm and character, whilst at the same time boasting all the modern facilities needed to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The cottage has the latest equipment within an ‘East Coast’ style interior, making it the perfect holiday hideaway. Warm yellow walls, large comfortable seating and an up-to-date garden room provide a spacious and welcoming home.
On entering you will be greeted with the comfortable main living area complete with exposed beams and a Coalbrookdale Stove. A charming feature of this room is the stained-glass bay window with its pretty check upholstered window seat – the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by. Equipped with all you need in a home away from home it obviously has a TV, DVD and CD player with a selection of DVDs and CDs for you to choose from. There is a small cloakroom off the sitting room.
The kitchen is extraordinarily well equipped. Naturally a cream AGA, granite work surfaces, long farmhouse style table seating 8, masses of batterie de cuisine and light at every point, making this the perfect entertaining area.
The clever use of space in the cottage has been extended to the garden room beyond the kitchen. Hidden away here in fitted cupboards are the washing machine and tumble dryer. With its huge rattan sofa and chairs and second TV, this is the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine before supper.
Upstairs is on two levels. The first floor has two double bedrooms, one adjoining an ultra modern bathroom at the rear. Both bedrooms have double beds and the bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath with power shower over.
The top floor houses a bedroom with views over the rooftops to the countryside at the rear. A double bed with pretty lilac cover and bed head is the main feature of this room and adjacent is an ensuite bathroom with hand-held shower over the bath.
The underfloor heating, Coalbrookdale Stove, AGA and garden room make this cottage as welcoming in winter as in summer. Whatever the British weather throws at you your stay will still be enjoyable.
