STAY AT THE FEATHERS
The Hotel has 15 bedrooms, including a family room and a honeymoon suite. All rooms are comfortably furnished and centrally heated, with colour TV, radio, trouser press and tea and coffee making facilities. Most have en-suite facilities and all are non-smoking. We also have a patrons only car park at the rear of the hotel.
If you have a function to organise, let us help to take the strain. For smaller parties we have The Plume Restaurant. For larger gatherings such as weddings, christenings and formal dinners we can offer you the Gresham Suite. A non-smoking room, which can seat up to 120 guests.
We have a variety of menus to suit all diets and tastes. We are happy to decorate the room, organise any entertainment and celebratory cakes or toasts. We will even provide a Master of Ceremonies, if required.

The Feathers has a large, non-smoking bar and seating area, with a wide selection of beers and quality wines, where you can meet with friends and family, maybe choose something from our bar menu, or from our daily specials board. Children are welcome, so bring the whole family for Sunday Lunch.

We are very proud of our à la Carte Restaurant, where we have created a relaxing, intimate atmosphere. This non-smoking restaurant can accommodate up to 30 guests, and can boast an extensive range of specials on the menu, which our resident chef lovingly creates from the freshest, local ingredients. Our silver-service waiters will be happy to guide you through our extensive wine lists. We also have a special lunch, à la Carte and Table d'hôte menus available.
MORE ABOUT THE FEATHERS
The Feather's Hotel has been an important part of Holt, since it was established on the site of the old cattle market in 1650.
During the 19th Century the 'Regulator' coach used to depart from the Hotel, three times a week, for the fourteen hour journey to London.
Around that time the first landlord, Mr Cubitt Cooke, was visited by an author named Peter Bull. So impressed was he, that he wrote a poem (which you can still see in the bar), which ended:
"In fact it's a place to which your heart tethers,
so good luck to the host of the jolly old Feathers"
