The Norfolk Riddle, Little Walsingham

Little Walsingham
There have been pilgrimages to Our Lady of Walsingham for hundreds of years, the consequence of a vision of the Virgin Mary by the widow of a Norman knight, Richeldis de Favarches in 1061. This is a large and active village, particularly over religious festivals. Little Walsingham’s high street is largely medieval, with red-brick and timber framed houses, whitewashed fronts and pantiled roofs.
