Edgefield
Edgefield is a delightful rural Norfolk village, four miles south of the Georgian market town of Holt. It is an ideal base for exploring North Norfolk, and the coast at Blakeney is only 7 miles away.
The village has a well stocked shop, post office, garage and petrol station, and The Three Pigs pub offers a wide range of real ales and meals.
There are many places nearby to walk and enjoy the countryside and wildlife, and nearby Holt Country Park offers a large area of unspoilt heath and woodland . |

The Pigs is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 3pm - food till 2.30pm - and 6pm to 11pm - food till 9pm. Open on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from noon to 4pm - food till 3pm.
The Pigs is committed to providing honest food;
locally sourced, skillfully prepared and reasonably priced. The aim is to offer tastes and textures long since forgotten ie. real food, with the emphasis firmly on local produce.
The meat is Norfolk-reared, additive-free and sourced directly from butchers and farmers practicing good animal husbandry.
Fish is from the North Sea and is delivered daily, most of the game is from the Edgefield shoots, and the fruit and vegetables are from Norfolk farm shops.
All dishes are made from scratch in The Pigs' kitchen and the puddings are out of this world!
Families are very welcome at The Pigs - there's a family room, children's playroom, brand new baby-changing facilities and a garden with a gravel bowls court as well as plenty of outside tables and chairs. A Kids' Cookery Club takes place every other Saturday morning.
In addition, The Pigs is known for its innovative barter scheme where you can swop home-grown fruit and veg for pints, and has recently introduced an allotment scheme in the back garden. |
